What the scanner checks

Five areas. 47 real checks.

Every scan fetches your public homepage, robots.txt, sitemap and a handful of key pages, then checks them against the rules below. Nothing is simulated.

Straight answers

What a scan can, and cannot, tell you.

This is a readiness scanner, not an AI visibility checker. It measures what it can verify and is clear about what it cannot.

What the scanner can establish

  • Whether your homepage is accessible to automated visitors
  • Whether robots.txt restricts search or AI crawlers
  • Whether structured data exists and is readable
  • Whether useful titles, descriptions and headings exist
  • Whether important content is in the HTML and discoverable through links
  • Whether your business information is machine-readable

What a website scan cannot establish

  • Whether ChatGPT or any assistant recommends your business
  • Whether every AI agent can use your website
  • Whether an AI search engine trusts your business
  • Whether your website appears in AI-generated answers
  • Whether you rank for any particular voice-search query
  • Whether AI agents can complete transactions on your site

Transparent scoring

How the score works

Each check carries points. A passed check earns all of them, a check that needs attention earns half, and an issue earns none. Checks the scanner could not complete are left out of the score, counted separately, and the result is marked preliminary when important checks are missing. Category scores are combined using the weights shown above. llms.txt is reported but never scored.

The score is an educational diagnostic, not an industry certification, and it does not predict rankings, AI visibility or business results.

  • 90–100Strong Technical Foundation

Few significant issues were identified in the checks performed.

  • 75–89Good Foundation, Room to Improve

The website demonstrates several positive signals but has opportunities for improvement.

  • 50–74Improvement Recommended

Multiple issues may be limiting technical discoverability or clarity.

  • 0–49Significant Issues Detected

The checks identified several potentially important problems.
